LAST CIGARETTE

You never know which your last cigarette is but I am writing this on my conscience's will power that one in my hand would be my last.
Life will give me many chances but it’s on me how I'll take them .
It desolates you, kills you, burns your lungs, blackens your teeth but still I like it .The only thing which reaches my mind with this minimum amount of effort. It touches me, gives me the "Tatvamasi" feeling.
But other part of my brain says you have to leave it not for yourselves but for others who depend on you .

It abducts your consciousness, the red firefly, smiling with burns on body .It rises up in your head flows in  your veins and get transformed into your actions .
I want to leave it but my oscillating consciousness doesn't allow me to do so .
My sleeping veins wake up when these drags reach my head and my poor hand writing is witnessing it .
Are you with me? I asked my consciousness.
"Yes i am there for you ".it answered
But why are you dancing??
"Because you gave me a puff ".it answered .
It feels nice when you talk to yourselves. Can meditation provide this? I don't know.

I have a pic of Salman Rushdie on my desktop in which he is holding a cigarette and even Shahrukh smokes .Is it necessary to be a smoker to be on top ?
I almost shouted this question and this question jumped to the world but nobody was there to answer.Perhaps this loneliness forces you to smoke and you keep on smoking even when people are around you, to be loyal with your friend who was with you when you were alone .
Why I am trying to leave smoking when I know that I can’t. It’s a battle and in this  deserted battlefield I can see only myself standing on the other side.
I don't know who will win tobacco wrapped in a paper  or life but what I know is that I am always playing with life burning it ,dipping it sometimes into ice sometimes sipping it with cold drink and sometimes with soda  .You know me for what i did not for what I drank or puffed. Conscience smiles again .

My teacher once said "Life is a tragedy for those who feel and comedy for those who think.”I am confused I can do both. First I think about my love and then start feeling it .Feeling is always wrapped in thinking and you take drags of it .Huh….. cigarette again becomes metaphor of life. Now I smile with my complete existence .

While comparing Life with Cigarette another quote rushes through my mind this one is from a video made by an IITian . My two year stay in  this college gave me another habit ,habit of copying things from IIT and then releasing their poor improvised versions . It said something like this " Life is like a puff of smoke , it comes from nowhere and goes into nowhere , all you can do is rise as high with it as possible and then disappear..."

In the end I just want to say if life is a cigarette then always take drag of your life as hard as you can before anyone asks for it.

Interesting Fact :-Article is Dedicated to all my friends who smoke and you may be surprised to know that  i don't a smoke .I wrote this article in my hostel room and major part is fiction .Reason behind writing was  to test that how my friends feel when I say them to leave smoking .

Statutory warning : Smoking is injurious to health .

Once in a while right in the middle of an ordinary life love gives us a fairy tale.

Ham bhii dushman to nahi hai apane
Gair ko tujh se mohabbat hii sahii

ham koii tarq-e-vafaa karate hai.n
na sahii ishq musiibat hii sahii

“I think that perhaps we always fall in love the very first time we see the man of our dreams, even though, at the time, reason may be telling otherwise, and we may fight against that instinct, hoping against hope that we won't win, until there comes a point when we allow ourselves to be vanquished by our feelings...”
--Paulo Coelho

One half of me is yours, the other half yours-
Mine own, I would say; but if mine, then yours,
And so all yours!!!

Zindagi Sirf Mohabbat Nahi Kuch Aur Bhi Hai,
Zulf-O-Rukhsaar Ki Jannat Nahi Kuch Aur Bhi Hai,
Bhukh Aur Pyaas Ki Maari Hui Is Duniya Mein,
Ishq Hi Ek Haqeeqat Nahin Kuch Aur Bhi Hai

pyar ko pyar hi rehno do koi naam na do .

Heroes who became the part of the system

Today i want to tell you about the Gautam Goswami .Gautam was among the very few audacious IAS officers .Gautam's life depicts how a young leader starts to flow with the stream of corruption .Despite of all the accusations he will remain  hero in the eyes of youth .His greatness can be realized by the fact that booker prize winner arvind adiga penned his life.

Gautam Goswami, the Bihar IAS officer who made headlines as one of the Time magazine’s Asian Heroes of 2004 and later as an accused in the flood relief scam, died on Tuesday 5th January 2009. . A 1991-batch officer, Goswami, 43, was suffering from pancreatic cancer.
The former Patna DM first hit the national headlines when he literally put his hand on microphones to prevent then Union home minister(in 2004 when NDA was in government) Lal Krishna Advani from continuing his speech at an election rally in Patna .

He was also a medical doctor and a gold medalist.

Goswami has been in the limelight several times. When he was Patna DM during last Lok Sabha polls, he went straight to BJP star campaigner LK Advani on the dais at Gandhi Maidan and asked him to stop his speech, saying “the deadline had expired”. He was selected one of the 20 Asian Heroes by TIME magazine. Bokker prize winner Arvind Adiga has written about Dr. Gautam Gosawmi in Time Magazine and told him as one of 20 Heros of Asia. However it is now alleged that throughout, Goswami allegedly channeled government money set aside for flood relief into a labyrinth of private accounts. The Indian Express first started reporting on possible misappropriations in 2004. These investigative reports soon caused a backlash against the officer.

The reports meticulously detailed the suspected modus operandi. Goswami, it was said, was funneling funds to a private company named Baba Satya Sai Industrial Corporation, and maintaining in the records books that money was paid to BSSIC. BSSIC, incidentally was also the acronym of the state agency, Bihar Small Scale Industries Corporation, that oversaw relief work. It is reported that one year later, during the audits, it was discovered that less than 1% of the money reached those affected. Goswami was eventually re-instated. His health had been an area of concern and he was being treated for pancreatic cancer.

Gautam Goswami

Laying Down the Law

By Aravind Adiga (these are the words written in times magazine about him )

When flash floods hit the Indian state of Bihar in July, millions of people were displaced from their homes, many without access to food or drinking water. A catastrophe was looming, and Gautam Goswami did more than anyone to avert it. As the district magistrate—the top bureaucrat—in Patna, Bihar’s capital, Goswami coordinated a massive relief effort that involved the Indian government, army and international aid agencies. At 4:30 each morning, Goswami was at Patna’s airport hangar, seeing off helicopters loaded with food, drinking water, tents and medical supplies; then he made sure truck convoys headed off to areas that could be reached by land. Goswami, 38, and his team toiled for a month, until the floods receded and the displaced returned home.

Bihar is India’s poorest state, and one of its most violent. Many Indians view the territory—which is infested with gangsters and Marxist guerrillas—as a basket case beyond redemption. But Goswami is helping to save it. For example, after three successive parliamentary elections in Patna had to be either partially or entirely countermanded because of violence and electoral fraud, Goswami was put in charge of the ballot in 1999. He barricaded Patna, so that gunmen in cars couldn’t enter the city, and set up telephone lines for citizens to call in with complaints. In 1999 and 2004, with Goswami as the overseer, Patna had the two fairest elections it had seen in years.

Goswami’s reputation for upholding the law improves the image of a civil service perceived by many Indians as corrupt or inefficient. Says Goswami: “There are so many more ways to help people in this job than in any other.”

Large Indian educational factories

exhausted brains ......thick spectacles .......moving encyclopedias ...world constrained to a single room ...immoral and incompatible with the society...welcome to glorified factories of India building a flock generation.

India is a nation in which 35% of the population still can't write their names but what about the rest of 65% .What is the quality of education that we are providing. The simplest answer is our education system is based on idea i.e "forcing eagles to be crow".Let child do what he wants to do ,we should aim at enhancing the innate features of a child .

Our government is squandering money ,teachers discouraging questions, creativity is an alien matter, plagiarist approach towards study, myopic view of thinking, little one's trying to lift their heavy bags and busy in gulping the otiose pages. Is this the foundation on which we are trying to build exalted nation then forget about it and extend our vision to 2050 or may be furthermore .

students becoming immoral to get increased their one or two marks in a useless paper.
what we have produced is a generation of electric engineers who can't repair fuse of their house ,flamed out doctors after study of 20 years , indecisive IAS officers and above all a street full of emotionally cipher ,phlegmatic flock.

Solution to all these problems is getting back to vedas as dayanand saraswati said ,implement bhagvad geeta in our life which IIM's realized quite late .Endeavor in imposing a system which focuses on practical knowledge ,trying to build lineaments of basic leadership ,problem solving skill and entrepreneurship .Building qualities to rationalize and attitude of reasoning. This can be also seen dwelling in policies of Mr. Kapil Sibbal (HRD minister of INDIA).

Introducing chapters on reservation into curriculum seems really important .Knowing about importance and drawbacks of reservation .Students first encounters with reservation when he goes for admission in college .Now ,this tensed introduction and hearsay from the society creates a negative impression on mind of student and makes him bigot on the matter of reservation .While reservation is really needed in some parts of nation .People ask me why do you favor reservation?i just want to ask them can't i protest for women rights because i am not a women .Should i be not allowed to talk about muslim reforms because i am not a muslim .The aim of our education system ought to be to work for humanity without any discrimination and prejudice .

Our objective should be making our generation tolerant not just soulless robots .Introduce them to nature and its lavishness .Teach them that there are more colossal idiocies than cramming the digestive system of grasshopper .There is a beautiful world outside their rooms .Teach them about the beauty of dawn ,teach them about singing of butterflies and enable them to know that there is something beautiful called love which is essential for world to exist .

chaand sitaare chune do inko nahi to ,
chaar kitaabe padkar ye bhi hum jaise ho jaayenge .

JEE result 2010

6 deciding hours ...media mayhem....5 lakh expectations ....students crusaded for 15 glorified institutes.....only 2% will get in .....toughest exam of the nation ....yes it's JEE .

.......................and today is the result day for JEE 2010 .The importance of JEE result can be realized by websites flooded with questions like i have this much marks what would be my
expected rank ,to which IIT i can make or can i make to IIT with this much marks ,expected cut-off 's .Apotheosis of IIT's pull.

JEE result a day of happiness, celebration, parties, phone calls ,above all true delight of dreams coming true but unfortunately it's only for 2 % of the aspirants. If you are not selected it spearheads to shattered dreams ,dashing hopes ,dissatisfaction, anger and disappointment .Most of you first time encounter rejection and reservation .But i just want to tell you it's not that much that you have lost .I know you had sleepless nights, mugged up pile of books ,gamut of classroom notes still haunting your mind, incessant classes and many things that only you know .you have done a lot for those six hours .unequivocally, you were equally good for JEE but after all they have to
select top 2%.

I am here to say that parents put their child into unnecessary pressure .They pray ,keep fast just making Jee result day sanctified.i mean that is ridiculous when a child fails to get into IIT's .This would make child belligerent and rebellious ,He or she thinks that life is over but it's not.It was not your day that's it ,just carry on.When i go through websites like entrancecorner.com or goiit.com.Mostly i encounter question regarding average package ,highest salary ,which branch is more highly paid and related to placement .Never comes things related to research and faculty .

Now,the question is why do most of us want to become IITian ?even i wanted to become one .Is it because of high packages ,getting elite consideration from society ,to become so-called bright minds.I am saying so called bright minds because you can't decide it from knowledge of three subjects.i don't want to say that IITians are not bright.Surely they are but they are not the only one's .The person who didn't got selected in his first attempt made into JEE in his second attempt.wasn't he bright mind when he didn't qualified for it .I am not deriding IITians .I just want to cajole that even non-IITians have immense human capabilities .Just focus on being a good engineer .Is it redundant to be an IITian to exercise your franchise.

Your aim should be to become a good engineer and serve for nation.just follow your passions and money will follow you.Be firm take a decisive stance and say"i have life to live and i have passion in me to show it"surely IIT's are the quality institutes of education and bastions of legacy .If you are selected then that's good but if you aren't life gives you too many opportunities .It was not the only chance to get success.after all IIT's are not everything .Just do something good with your life and bring glitter in your parents eyes .Embrace your passion and live it .Go out admire nature and get some life and i am sure nature is lavish enough .let's weave some some new dreams .....

Saahil se takarakar laut jaati hai har lehar, Saahil uske aur bhi hai ke manzilein aur bhi hai, Dhal jaata hai suraj bhi har shaam, Subahe abhi aur bhi hai ke manzilein aur bhi hai.

love resides there

Love is perhaps the most beautiful feeling of this world but I am still far away to experience my first love. I am writing on love because one of my friend challenged me about this .so I decided to write upon it .Thanks to those people who really induced me to write this article and continuously inspired me to write and enhance my thoughts .

“What is love?”

I have something really beautiful to tell about this ``while they were enjoying icecream on the seashore he asked “do u know what love is?”

She thought about it for a moment and replied “it’s nothing “.

Then he asked if it’s nothing then why do people fall in love, she just let a mild smile spread across her face and answered with glitter in her eyes, that’s why people in love.”

At first we all would think that what a strange story but later I understood that it’s really nothing .

Why do people meet and why do people fall in love the reason is nothing .love starts when reasons fail. Importance of nothing is explained in this poem

We turn clay to make vessel,

But it’s on the space where there is nothing

The usefulness of vessel depends.

We put thirty spokes together and call it wheel

But it’s on the space where there is nothing

Usefulness of wheel depends

Therefore just as we take advantage of what is we should

Recognize the usefulness of what is not.

But still there is too much in this nothing .love is fragrance of purity, a butterfly harder u try to catch more it runs away and resides on you when you are just sitting calmly,is a smiling “na’ when your friend’s teases you about her, a scope of replying back in every sms , serenity in busy streets , , the purest feeling you can ever have rejoice in every moment.

When real love enters your life it’s truly “divine intervention “.it is well said that if u actually want to check the value of ur love...set it free...love is without any sought of boundations..its without restrictions..its without expectations in return...all these lines must be sounding really familiar to all u guys..the reason being...love is the most simplest subject..which can be mastered by all...it just requires polishing and the rest is what comes in front of the world...the theory of love is something easiest to understand and is imbibed in almost each one of us..

Love in today’s world

Javed sahib wrote few b’ful lines about love in today’s world

Tumhe bhi yaad nahi , aur mai bhi bhool gaya

Kitna hassen tha wo lamha, magar fizool gaya

I don’t say that true love stories don’t happen these days but pain is that most of them don’t get expected ending .relations really become tough to continue sometimes .the reason being...people not being satisfied with what they have...level of competition has come up so much that..it can be seen even here..

When love becomes an emotional quagmire ,a reluctant relation, whimsical to handle ,form of virulence, a string of skirmishes and it just eclipses happiness with remorse .these are the times of test for love .just when it appears leaving it unachieved is a better option .these times discriminates between the category of lovers. We have to understand that loving is something more than facebook relationship status. let your love not be a sequence of forlorn attempts .so just be practical while loving because it’s always special to be loved by special one .and each person who loves is a special one...because to be loved is easy..but to love requires care and affection..which wen ignited makes one special...it’s a divine feeling .so feel it with the utmost purity .love will cultivate your heart .love will give you a gamut of memories and the most cherish-able experience of your life .
